Myndos, Gumusluk

2.5
#4 of 8 in Historic Sites in Bodrum
Once a resort, Myndos attracted a prominent Hellenistic king, who would bring his loved one to feed wild rabbits and watch the days go by. Numerous archaeological treasures have been uncovered here, including an ancient theatre from around 400 BCE, a sacred burial site, and a 13th-century tower. Walk to the island through the shallow waters or get there by cruise boat to explore nature. Although only a few creatures remain on the island, you'll be able to see the excavations and swim in the clear waters, all while taking in stunning views of the bay.
