W wi... more »The place is a compulsory point. The UNESCO-listed complex of temples and residential buildings carved in volcanic rocks creates an amazing fairy-tale landscape. In most places you can take pictures, only in 3 temples, because of the beautifully preserved frescoes it is forbidden. Everyone who is in the area should watch this place!

Unlike most other parts of the national park, this area costs admission. However, this is negligible with the current lira course and is also worthwhile. But parking is a bigger challenge here.
Great site to look round lots to see. A beautiful place to take photo's. easy to get round and look at everything, but it is a big place so there is a lot of walking to do there. leave your self a day to look round so you don't miss anything. A must see place if your in the area. a great day out
Don't forget to take audio guide. Goreme open air museum is on a big area n there are mus tracks so.make sure you wear comfortable closed shoes and take an umbrella as it can be either sunny or rainy. It has many small churches with great historical significance so don't miss any.
