  • Near to this grave is the grave of the australiens. Both is worth to see. I advise to go with tour guide to understand the history of this place.
  • This unit of the Turkish command was under Mustafa Kemal. It is believed that all of the Turkish soldiers under this division lost their lives as martyrs in the Çanakkale War except Mustafa Kemal and in light of that, the Turkish Military command retired the 57. Alay division in honour of the passed souls and no longer designate any division by this name in the current military units of Turkey. Almost all of the names of the members of this unit have been determined and encraved on a ceremonial stones in their honour. The 57. Piyade Alayı ve Şehitlik is therefore in respect and honour to their braveries and immortalities.
