Mar Petyun Keldani Catholic Church, Diyarbakir

Diyarbakir was a church that was alternately worshipped together with the Assyrian Church of the Virgin Mary, i.e. open to worship. The church still exists. The Armenian Catholic within the wall has not been damaged like the Surp Giragos Churches, but has been in the area, which has been banned since 2015. During the opening periods of the church, it was kept open during daylight hours with an attendant and could be visited for a small fee. Although it is a small church, its courtyard and the inside are impressive. Examples of burials on the throne are also available in this church, with clergy facing east in the Assyrian and Chaldean churches.
