Located on the Datca peninsula, Knidos pays tribute to the ruins of a once-great Greek city with views of the natural harbor below. See the remains of the city's original port area, which led to its rise as a large trading hub because of its location perched on a hilltop above the sea. View the excavated double amphitheater, as well as the temples of Dionysus, Muses, and Aphrodite. You can reach these ruins by boat from Datca, or by car via a winding mountain road that is a trip in and of itself. Keep in mind that these ruins are less marked than other sites, so do your research beforehand to know what's represented here. Make Knidos a centerpiece of your Datca vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Datca trip itinerary app.
