The Kocatepe Mosque (Turkish: Kocatepe Camii) is the largest mosque in Ankara, Turkey. It was built between 1967 and 1987 in the Kocatepe quarter in Kızılay, and its size and prominent situation have made it a landmark that can be seen from almost anywhere in central Ankara.

  • The biggest and the most beautiful mosque in Ankara, look like don't have anything outside but unique inside, colorful stained glass windows. Take your a little time and pray :)  more »

  • Nothing like duplicating the design of half a millenia ago but having said that, this is a beautiful mosque. I am not so sure about the Christmas tree decorations hanging from the cupola. Nor about the tacky shops underneath. Very peaceful place to chill for a bit.
