  • It is always exiting to visit an Independence war Museum. My beutiful country is standing strong due to Independence war. The rooms tell you that it was a struggle at that time. I suggest every child....  more »
  • Fascinating place. they have Ataturk's clothes and weapons, from when he organised the 1922 campaigns here in Aksehir. You can actually go into the meeting room where plans were made. I never thought to see this outside Ankara.
  • A two-storey wooden mansion, which is the headquarters of the Western Front Command, for a period of 9 months and 10 days before the great assault covering the most important and final part of our Istiklal war. The building was built as the city Hall of Akşehir in 1904, while the Western Front of the 18.11.1921 (after Polatlı-Sivrihisar-Emirdag-Çay districts) moved to Akşehir, a Hana in the district of staff, and branches to houses, Kh. Soldiers were also placed in other inns. Atatürk came several times, participated in the preparations and plans of the great offensive, and the attack decided here. After the liberation war, the building was also home to the mayor until 1964, and it was transferred to the Ministry of National Education in 1965 and 1 year later, "Ataturk and Ethnography Museum", and in 1981 it was the "Western Front headquarters museum". The lower floor is the administrative section, the upstairs sofa and 8 rooms are arranged as a place of exhibition with items brought from the mausoleum. The entrance is free.
