Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul, Tunis

4.1
Opened in 1897 on the site of an 17th century Christian church, Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul represents a colonial era Roman Catholic cathedral and an iconic building of the Tunisian capital. The custard-colored structure with white edges has a triple arch entrance topped by a shimmering portal mosaic, a large Latin cross, and tall twin bell towers. Blending neo-Gothic, neo-Byzantine, and Moorish revival styles, the cathedral holds regular masses in French and Italian. The building is an active seat of the Archdiocese of Tunis. • Amongst all the mosques in this Muslim dominated country, this is a wonder to see and a great architectural building that is well worth a visit  more »
  • I would recommend this church to its beautiful architecture. However, it is not possible to access the public holidays.

  • I’m a catholic that’s Tunisian and this is a great to place to go and pray. 🇹🇳✝️
  • Very nice place! I loved the architecture and the colors. Lights were amazing, and the indications give you a great idea about the history of the church. this place is very peaceful, absolutely not to miss if you're visiting Tunis specially noting that it's really close to the medina and at the very centre of the downtown Tunis.
