Bangkok, Thailand to Tashkent is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also drive. The time zone changes from Indochina Time (ICT) to Uzbekistan Time (UZT), which is usually a -2 hour difference. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Khiva.

Fly from Tashkent to Khiva in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. In April, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Tue) so you can travel to Samarkand.

Uzbekistan’s most glorious city, Samarkand, offers a fine combination of history and modern urban life.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Tue): explore the different monuments and memorials at Gur Emir Mausoleum, delve into the distant past at Bibi-Khanym Mosque Bibi-Xonum, get engrossed in the history at Afrasiyab Museum, explore the ancient world of Afrasiab, then pause for some photo ops at Shah-i-Zinda, and finally see the sky in a new way at Ulugh Beg Observatory. Keep things going the next day: gain insight at Sher Dor Madrasah, admire the landmark architecture of Ulugbek Madrasah, then contemplate the long history of Tillya Kori Madrasah, and finally don't miss a visit to Registan.

You can fly from Khiva to Samarkand in 5 hours. Another option is to take a train. In April, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu) to allow time to travel to Bukhara.

When traveling from Samarkand in May, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Bukhara: temperatures range from 37°C by day to 19°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 3rd (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Tashkent.
