A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Dollywood has been added to your itinerary. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Grotto Falls Parking and Doc Collier Distillery. Do some cultural sightseeing at Mill Bridge Winery and Old Forge Distillery. Asheville nestles between two major mountain ranges in the scenic western section of North Carolina.
Step off the beaten path and head to BREW-ed and Riverside Cemetery. Get some cultural insight at Overmountain Vineyards and St.Claire Art. Step out of Asheville to go to Saluda and see Pearson's Falls and Glen, which is approximately 48 minutes away.
