Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Eilean Donan Castle and Ben Nevis. Take a break from the city and head to Nevis Range Mountain Resort and Camusdarach Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Glenfinnan Viaduct (in Glenfinnan), Morar Beach (in Morar) and Highland Titles Nature Reserve (in Duror). Next up on the itinerary: admire the sheer force of Steall Waterfall and admire the verdant scenery at Glen Coe.
