Most visitors take a trip to Magong to see Penghu's iconic landmark, the famed Tianhou Gong Mazu temple, honoring the Chinese sea goddess and dating back to the 16th century.Kick off your visit on the 1st (Thu): take an in-depth tour of Penghu Fossil Museum, make a trip to Xu Jia Cun Cai Hui Bi Hua, make a trip to Kueibishan, then enjoy the sand and surf at Shanshui Beach, and finally don't miss a visit to Cimeiyu.

Located on the southern tip of the eponymous peninsula, Hengchun serves as the entry point to Kenting National Park, often attracting more travelers than locals with its tropical beach resorts and bustling night markets.Visiting Sand Island (Sa-Dau) and White Sand Bay will get you outdoors. Step off the beaten path and head to Nanwan Beach and Feng Chui Sha. There's much more to do: enjoy breathtaking views from Southern Point, stroll around Longpan Park, explore the striking landscape of Kenting National Park, and discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Do a combination of flight and bus from Magong to Hengchun in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and taxi; or do a combination of ferry and bus. In October, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 28°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Hualien.

Nestled between the sea and the mountains, Hualien boasts a number of attractions, both natural and manmade.Discover out-of-the-way places like Dolphin and Whale Watching-Turumoan Company and Qixing Lake Binhai Bicycle Road. Get outdoors at Sixty Rock Mountain and Zhuilu Old Trail. When in Hualien, make a side trip to see Taitung Brown's Road in Chishang, approximately Chishang away. There's lots more to do: head outdoors with Shakadang Trail, pause for some serene contemplation at Tianfeng Pagoda, witness a stunning natural landmark at Yuli Antong Hot Spring, and hike along Xiao Zhui Lu Trail.

You can drive from Hengchun to Hualien in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Fri) so you can catch the train back home.
