Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Thu): see the interesting displays at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Mountaineers' Cemetery. On the next day, take in panoramic vistas at Sunnegga, then take in the dramatic natural features at Gorner Gorge, and then get great views at Gornergrat.

Take a break from the city and head to Jungfraujoch and Lauterbrunnen Valley Waterfalls. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Maennlichen and Lauterbrunnen Village.
