Situated at the meeting point of the White and Blue Niles, the sprawling capital Khartoum captivates with its welcoming atmosphere, chaotic marketplaces, and extravagant skyline punctuated with glass towers.
Step out of Khartoum with an excursion to Khalifa House Museum in Omdurman--about 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Sudan National Museum, deepen your understanding at University of Khartoum, take an in-depth tour of Ethnographic Museum, and browse the different shops at Afra Mall.
