One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Shop till you drop at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. Venture out of the city with trips to DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju), Korean Folk Village (in Yongin) and Hwaseong Fortress (in Suwon). There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Cheonggyecheon Stream, take some stellar pictures from N Seoul Tower, explore the world behind art at National Folk Museum of Korea, and take a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village.
