Fort William

Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Discover out-of-the-way places like Glenfinnan Monument and Glencoe Folk Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Land Sea and Islands Centre and MacIntosh Parish Church. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fort William: Glen Etive (in Glencoe Village), Camusdarach Beach (in Arisaig) and Highland Titles Nature Reserve (in Duror). There's still lots to do: trek along Lost Valley Trail and tour the pleasant surroundings at Glencoe Lochan.
