Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): tee off at The Dragons Tooth Golf Course.

Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Step out of the city life by going to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Loch Morlich. Get a sense of the local culture at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery and Inverness Cathedral. When in Inverness, make a side trip to see Cairngorm Brewery in Aviemore, approximately Aviemore away. The powerhouse of the northeast, Aberdeen is a prosperous urban center fueled by a thriving petroleum industry.
Popular historic sites such as Old Aberdeen and Ferryden Viaduct are in your itinerary. Visiting Arbroath to Auchmithie Coastal Path and Brig 'o' Balgownie will get you outdoors. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Aberdeen: Sands of Forvie (in Ellon) and Montrose (St Cyrus National Nature Reserve & Bamse Statue). There's still lots to do: trek along Old Deeside Railway Line, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kirk of St. Nicholas, take in the views from Wellington Suspension Bridge, and examine the collection at University of Aberdeen Zoology Museum.
