Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
On the 9th (Fri), take a stroll through Dlugi Targ Square, then make a trip to Dluga Street (ul. Dluga), then don't miss a visit to Golden House, and finally see the interesting displays at Sala BHP. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: brush up on your military savvy at Museum of the Second World War (Muzeum II Wojny Swiatowej), pause for some serene contemplation at St. Mary's Church, then take a stroll through Old Town, and finally get engrossed in the history at Europejskie Centrum SolidarnoSci.
