Asheville nestles between two major mountain ranges in the scenic western section of North Carolina.
Explore Asheville's surroundings by going to Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park (in Chimney Rock) and Zipline (in Lake Lure). And it doesn't end there: admire the natural beauty at Biltmore, admire all the interesting features of Blue Ridge Pkwy, let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, and view the masterpieces at Woolworth Walk.

Tampa to Asheville is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In July, Asheville is a bit cooler than Tampa - with highs of 84°F and lows of 65°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Boone.

Boone

Boone is a town located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, United States. Kick off your visit on the 12th (Sun): kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, sample the tasty concoctions at Blowing Rock Brewery, and then look for gifts at Mast General Store. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 13th (Mon): ride a horse along Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Grandfather Mountain, and then take a pleasant ride with Vx3 Trail Rides.

When traveling from Asheville in July, plan for little chillier days in Boone, with highs around 78°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 61°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Cherokee.

Cherokee

The center of Cherokee culture in the eastern part of the country, the town named after this Native American tribe serves as a base camp for hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Cherokee: Carolina Outfitters (in Topton), Dry Falls (in Highlands) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Bryson City).
