Established as the capital of Assam by the British, the hill station of Shillong today serves as the capital of Meghalaya, created in 1972.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Umiam Lake as well as Laitlum Canyons. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Meghalaya’s Mawlynnong and Mawphlang Falls.
