Malaga

Capital of the Costa del Sol

Modern yet historic, Málaga is a lively city famous for being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Alhambra and Generalife. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at El Tajo de Ronda and Avenida del Mar. Change things up with these side-trips from Malaga: Granada (Sacromonte, Basilica de San Juan de Dios, &more), Ronda (Puente Nuevo & Old City) and Los Boliches (in Fuengirola). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo del Vidrio y Cristal de Malaga, look for all kinds of wild species at Butterfly Park of Benalmadena, take an in-depth tour of Alcazaba, and contemplate the long history of Malaga Cathedral.
