The largest town on the Lofoten Islands, Svolvaer serves as a good base from which to launch your tour of the archipelago.
Get outdoors at Floya and Lofoten Lights. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Festvagtind Hike and Lofoten Links. There's still lots to do: paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, take in the awesome beauty at Glomtinden, trek along Tjeldbergtind, and examine the collection at Lofoten Krigsminnenmuseum.

Start off your visit on the 6th (Tue): stop by Lofoten Gaver og Brukskunst AS, appreciate the views at Himmeltinden, and then kick back and relax at Haukland Beach. On the 7th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore and take pictures at Uttakleiv Beach, then hike along Offersoykammen Hiking Trail, and then trek along Hiking on the hills.
