La Baule-Escoublac, commonly referred to as La Baule, is a commune in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France.A century-old seaside resort in southern Brittany with beautiful villas, casino, luxury hotels and an original mix of old Breton and exclusive seaside culture with a 12 kilometer-long sand beach, La Baule has long been home to French high society's seaside residences. Explore La-Baule-Escoublac's surroundings by going to Quiberon (Pointe du Conguel & Cote Sauvage), Vannes (Centre Historique de Vannes & Old City Walls of Vannes) and Carnac stones (in Carnac). There's still lots to do: learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Planete Sauvage, examine the collection at Univers du Poete Ferrailleur, let little ones run wild at Parc des Dryades, and admire the landmark architecture of Chateau de Suscinio.
