Famous for the groves of coconut trees from which it takes its name, Kovalam offers a long, white sandy beach on the Arabian Sea.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Thu): enjoy the sand and surf at Lighthouse Beach and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sreekandeswaram Mahadeva Temple, examine the collection at Napier Museum, examine the collection at Puthenmalika (Kuthiramalika) Palace, then visit a coastal fixture at Vizhinjam Lighthouse, and finally kick back and relax at Kovalam Beach.
