Tournament Capital of Canada

Frequent host of major sporting events, Kamloops calls itself the "Tournament Capital of Canada." Visitors come to watch curling and skating competitions, as well as fly fishing championships, bike races, and hockey tournaments.
Escape the urban bustle at River Rafting & Tubing and Kamloops Rivers Trail. Get out of town with these interesting Kamloops side-trips: Wells Gray Provincial Park (in Clearwater) and Sun Peaks (in Sun Peaks). Toronto to Kamloops is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, car, and bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Pacific Standard Time (PST), which is usually a -3 hour difference. On the 14th (Wed), you'll travel to Kelowna.

Traveling by car from Kamloops to Kelowna takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. On the 18th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly back home.
