Step off the beaten path and head to Kayaking & Canoeing and Yukishio Museum. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Miyako Shrine and Harimizu Utaki. And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at Underground Dam Museum, head outdoors with Marine Leisure Sports of Shigira Beach House, delve into the distant past at Ninto zeiseki, and kick back and relax at Sawada no hama Beach.

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Tue): walk around Kabira Park, kick back and relax at Yonehara Beach, take in panoramic vistas at Tamatorizaki Observatory, thenenjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki, and finally walk around Banna Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Kaiji Beach, head outdoors with Kondoi Beach, thentake in the waterfront at Nishi Pier, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Island Countryside Settlement.
