Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 1st (Fri), admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco, then steep yourself in history at Doge's Palace, then take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Campo del Ghetto.

Eindhoven, Holland to Venice is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. In November, daytime highs in Venice are 15°C, while nighttime lows are 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Fri) early enough to travel to Amalfi.

Known for its impressive hillside cascade of colorful stone buildings down to the Mediterranean shore, Amalfi is the cultural and commercial heart of southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): admire the verdant scenery at Valle dei Mulini, then go for a walk through Sentiero degli dei (Path of the Gods), and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Sant'Andrea. On the 3rd (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Fornillo, examine the collection at Museo della Carta, then contemplate the long history of Villa Cimbrone Gardens, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Villa Rufolo.

Take a train from Venice to Amalfi in 7 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight, train, and bus; or drive. Traveling from Venice in November, expect Amalfi to be somewhat warmer, temps between 21°C and 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to travel to Rome.
