In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Thu): stop by Piazza Emile Chanoux, look for all kinds of wild species at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, then stop by Salumificio Maison Bertolin, and finally steep yourself in history at Pont-Saint-Martin. Here are some ideas for day two: step into the grandiose world of Castello Reale di Sarre, head outdoors with Sentiero panoramico lungo l'Orrido di Pre-Saint-Didier, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, and finally explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense.

Merano

Merano or Meran is a town and comune in South Tyrol, northern Italy. Start off your visit on the 8th (Sat): appreciate the history behind Orologio ad Acqua di Fondo, take in breathtaking views at Canyon Rio Sass, head outdoors with Lago Smeraldo, then shop like a local with Piazza delle Erbe, and finally admire the striking features of Duomo Maria Assunta. On the 9th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: step into the grandiose world of Castle Tyrol South Tyrolean Museum of Culture and Provincial History, then identify plant and animal life at Gufyland, then fly down the slopes at Meran 2000, and finally hike along Meran Waalrunde.

Riva del Garda is a town and comune in the northern Italian province of Trento of the Trentino Alto Adige region. Get in touch with nature at Valle di Ledro and Parco naturale Sciliar-Catinaccio. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Chapel Santa Barbara and Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra. Step out of Riva Del Garda to go to Rovereto and see Casa D'Arte Futurista Depero, which is approximately 34 minutes away.
