Hangzhou, the scenic capital of Zheijang Province, remains a popular vacation choice for tourists interested in the area's numerous cultural and natural sights.
Popular historic sites such as Xiang Lake Tourist Resort Area of Hangzhou and Xiangji Temple are in your itinerary. Get in touch with nature at Tianmushan Scenic Aera and Daming Mountain. Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at China National Silk Museum and tee off at Westlake International Golf and Country Club.

Tianjin to Hangzhou is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of subway and train; or drive. In January, Hangzhou is a bit warmer than Tianjin - with highs of 50°F and lows of 37°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) so you can take a train to Shanghai.

With a nickname like the "Pearl of the Orient," it's not surprising Shanghai offers some of the most rewarding attractions and activities in the Far East.
Visiting Suzhou West Hill Scenic Area and Shanghai Wild Animal Park will get you outdoors. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre and Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum. Explore Shanghai's surroundings by going to Chang Guang Xi National Wetland Park (in Wuxi) and Zhouzhuang Boat (in Kunshan). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Former French Concession, make a trip to Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road), appreciate the extensive heritage of The Bund (Wai Tan), and view the masterpieces at island6 Arts Center.

Getting from Hangzhou to Shanghai by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In January in Shanghai, expect temperatures between 49°F during the day and 37°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 25th (Sat) to allow enough time to fly back home.
