An ancient town center surrounded by medieval ramparts, Avignon is a major city of Provence and a Mediterranean city in the Vaucluse department on the left bank of the Rhône River.
On the 18th (Sat), explore the world behind art at Musee du Petit Palais and then admire the masterpieces at Musee Departemental Arles Antique. On the 22nd (Wed), take an in-depth tour of Musee de la Vie Bourguignonne, then steep yourself in history at Cathedrale Saint-Benigne de Dijon, and then see the interesting displays at Hôtel-Dieu Museum Musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu.
