The 2013 European "Capital of Culture," Marseille is the largest port city on the breezy Mediterranean coast and the second largest city in France.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Thu): admire the masterpieces at Chateau La Coste en Provence, take in the exciting artwork at Santons Daniel Galli, then view the masterpieces at Poterie Point Fusion, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, and finally steep yourself in history at Palais du Pharo. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the dramatic natural features at Calanques, then browse the different shops at Les Docks Village, and then take a stroll through The Panier.
