Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
On the 23rd (Thu), admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, then explore the ancient world of Pantheon, then contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, and finally steep yourself in history at Colosseum.
