On the 14th (Tue), contemplate the long history of Molly Brown House Museum, see the sky in a new way at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, thenlearn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Denver Zoo, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Denver Botanic Gardens.

Getting from Colorado Springs to Denver by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. In April, daily temperatures in Denver can reach 59°F, while at night they dip to 34°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Vail.

Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Wed): fly down the slopes at Beaver Creek Ski Area, thenget your game on at Vail Valley Escape Room, and then fly down the slopes at Vail Mountain Resort.

You can drive from Denver to Vail in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Denver in April, expect nights in Vail to be a bit cooler, around 22°F, while days are colder, around 35°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Aspen.

Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
On the 16th (Thu), fly down the slopes at Aspen Snowmass and then grab your bike and head to Rio Grande Trail. On the next day, trek along Maroon Lake Scenic Trail and then take in the awesome beauty at Buttermilk Mountain.

Drive from Vail to Aspen in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Vail in April, you will find days in Aspen are a bit warmer (53°F), and nights are about the same (27°F). On the 18th (Sat), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
