Glenwood Springs occupies a scenic location at the junction of the Colorado River and the Roaring Fork River, halfway between Vail and Aspen along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
On the 14th (Sun), get a taste of the local shopping with Cooper Corner Gallery and then test the waters at a local thermal spa. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the waterfront views at Hanging Lake, thentour the pleasant surroundings at Hanging Lake Trail, and then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.

More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
Get in touch with nature at Trail Ridge Road and The Beach at Grand Lake. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Aspen and Evergreen Gallery and The Studio Fine Art and Framing. There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, stop by Images of Rocky Mountain National Park, see Off-Road Tours, and admire the verdant scenery at Many Parks Curve Overlook.

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Do your shopping at Denver Botanic Gardens and 16th Street Mall. Denver Museum of Nature & Science and Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art are good opportunities to explore the local culture. When in Denver, make a side trip to see River Rafting & Tubing in Idaho Springs, approximately Idaho Springs away. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Denver Art Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Trinity United Methodist Church, and steep yourself in history at Molly Brown House Museum.
