Known mostly for its annual music festivals, Frutillar sits on the shores of one of the largest lakes in South America.
Step out of the city life by going to Puyehue National Park and Reserva Forestal Edmundo Winkler. Get some cultural insight at Museo Colonial Aleman and Iglesia Inmaculada Concepcion. Step out of Frutillar with an excursion to Quesos Chiriuco in Puerto Octay--about 52 minutes away. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Muelle Frutillar, admire the striking features of Casa de Richter, take in the waterfront at Costanera Frutillar Bajo, and contemplate the geological forces at Mount Lanin.
