The allure of the multi-cultural capital, Brussels, stems from its mix of political intrigue, artistic influence, historical significance, and a thriving social scene.
Get some historical perspective at Parc du Cinquantenaire and Memorial Waterloo 1815. Bring the kids along to Manneken Pis and Domaine Des Grottes De Han. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Brussels: Pairi Daiza (in Brugelette), Donjon de Crupet (in Crupet) and Citadelle de Dinant (in Dinant). There's lots more to do: admire the striking features of Justice Palace (Palais de Justice), take in the spiritual surroundings of Notre Dame de la Chapelle, stroll around Bois de la Cambre, and learn about all things military at Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History.

The medieval town of Bruges centers around a canal, and the architecture of its historical district has made it a World Heritage Site.
Kick off your visit on the 14th (Wed): take an in-depth tour of Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917, make a trip to Tyne Cot Cemetery, and then make a trip to Menin Gate Memorial. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get to know the resident critters at Bellewaerde.
