A charming historic town with many sacred sites cradled in a verdant valley, Paro offers a scenic base to explore the important Buddhist attractions and pristine nature around it.
Explore hidden gems such as Paro River and Paro Airport Bird's Eye View Point. There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), get engrossed in the history at Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche Memorial House, don't miss a visit to Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Dzongdrakha Monastry.

Kolkata (Calcutta), India to Paro is an approximately 2-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train, bus, and car; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Kolkata (Calcutta) in June, expect Paro to be little chillier, temps between 30°C and 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Wed) so you can travel to Trongsa.
