The center of nightlife on the island of Zakynthos, the popular tourist resort of Laganas boasts over a hundred bars and clubs.
Venture out of the city with trips to Keri Caves (in Limni Keri), Saint Nicholas Church (in Ano Vasilikos) and Gerakas Beach (in Vasilikos). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Laganas Beach, stroll through Xigia Beach, Head underground at Blue Caves, and step off the mainland to explore Marathonisi (Turtle Island).

Vilnius, Lithuania to Laganas is an approximately 9.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also fly; or take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In July, Laganas is a bit warmer than Vilnius - with highs of 38°C and lows of 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 11th (Sun) to allow enough time to fly back home.

Located just off the west coast of mainland Greece, Zakynthos enjoys a reputation as both a party destination and a family-friendly getaway. Packed with foreign tourists along its eastern and southeastern coastline, the island also features numerous tranquil pockets in its central region of forested mountains and rolling hills. Avoid the overcrowded east by discovering the island's less-explored northern sections, which contain a series of deep caves that feature sun reflecting on seawater and white stones, creating a striking shade of azure particular to this part of the world. The northern capes of the island also offer the calmest waters, which lap a string of developed beaches with plenty of modern facilities.
