Set against the stark but scenic coastline of the Bass Strait--the body of water separating Victoria and Tasmania--Torquay is a prime location for surfing and beach life in general.
On the 20th (Wed), cruise along The Great Ocean Road. On the next day, stroll through Guvvos Beach, then explore the landscape on two wheels at Distillery Creek Picnic Ground, then take some stellar pictures from Moggs Creek Lookout, and finally explore the striking landscape at Eagle Rock Marine Sanctuary.

Melbourne to Torquay is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. In November, plan for daily highs up to 25°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to go by car to Ballarat.
