Goreme, Cappadocia

Famed for its landscape of unusually shaped stone formations and churches cut into the natural rocks, Goreme sits in the central part of the country, an area originally settled during Roman times.
Step off the beaten path and head to Red Valley and Kervan Carpet & Kilim. Step out of Goreme with an excursion to Kaymakli in Nevsehir--about 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: explore the galleries of Goreme Open-Air Museum, take some stellar pictures from Sunset Point, soar above the sights with a balloon tour, and get to know the fascinating history of Goreme National Park.

Manama, Bahrain to Goreme is an approximately 9.5-hour flight. Plan for cooler temperatures traveling from Manama in March, with highs in Goreme at 16°C and lows at 1°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 31st (Wed) early enough to travel to Cirali.

An unspoiled fishing village for most of its existence, Kas now serves as a mostly quiet tourist town, located on the southern section of the country's Mediterranean coastline.
On the 2nd (Fri), don't miss a visit to Lions Tomb, then look for gifts at Silver Harmoni, then go for a stroll along the water at Kas Marina, and finally discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Traveling by car from Cirali to Kas takes 2.5 hours. Expect a daytime high around 25°C in April, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Fri) to allow time to drive to Belek.

Belek

Boasting some of the biggest golf courses in the country, Belek sits in a landscape of pine-covered hills pressed against the Mediterranean Sea.
On the 3rd (Sat), delve into the distant past at Aspendos Ruins and Theater.

Traveling by car from Kas to Belek takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus; or take a bus. In April, daily temperatures in Belek can reach 26°C, while at night they dip to 13°C. On the 3rd (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
