Jena is a German university city and the second largest city in Thuringia. Do some cultural sightseeing at Schloss Belvedere and Old Synagogue. Your inner history buff will appreciate Schillers Wohnhaus and Wittumspalais. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jena: Erfurt (Predigerkirche, Fischmarkt, &more), Panorama Museum (in Bad Frankenhausen) and Weimar (Stadtkirche St. Peter and Paul - Herderkirche, Goethe National Museum, &more). Eisenach is a town in Thuringia, Germany with 42,000 inhabitants, located 50km west of Erfurt, 70km southeast of Kassel and 150km northeast of Frankfurt. Kick off your visit on the 15th (Sat): step into the grandiose world of Wartburg Castle, steep yourself in history at Bachhaus, then see the interesting displays at Automobile Welt Eisenach, and finally steep yourself in history at Schmales Haus Eisenach.
