Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
We've included these beaches for you: Seven Mile Beach and Kingston Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to The Neck and Moorilla Estate Winery. Change things up with a short trip to Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park (about 1h 10 min away). There's lots more to do: identify plant and animal life at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, explore the world behind art at Lady Franklin Gallery, take in the awesome beauty at Mount Wellington, and get great views at Constitution Dock.
