Boasting some of Greece's finest beaches, Skiathos swells with vacationers from colder European countries at the height of the tourist season.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, Skiathos Island National Airport and Thessaloniki Macedonia International Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 31°C, and evening lows to 25°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sat) early enough to catch the ferry to Skopelos.

Known as one of the Aegean's greenest islands, Skopelos features a long coastline of fine beaches and an interior covered with verdant pine forests, olive groves, and plum orchards.
