Matsuyama

Matsuyama features a number of historical sites and acts as a gateway for exploring the rest of Shikoku.
On the 9th (Mon), don't miss a visit to Bocchan Wind up Clock, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ishiteji, soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens, then don't miss a visit to Dogo Onsen Station, then step into the grandiose world of Matsuyama Castle, and finally make a trip to Okaido Shopping Street.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Matsuyama is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Malaysia Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. In December, Matsuyama is cooler than Kuala Lumpur - with highs of 13°C and lows of 7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Mon) so you can go by car to Kochi.

Kick off your visit on the 10th (Tue): head outdoors with Katsura Hama, make a trip to Harimaya Bridge, then hunt for treasures at Hirome Ichiba, and finally step into the grandiose world of Kochi Castle. Traveling from Naruto in December, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Takamatsu, with lows of 3°C.
