Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Start off your visit on the 1st (Sat): brush up on your military savvy at The Commando Museum, take in the awesome beauty at Nevis Range Mountain Resort, and then get a new perspective on things with Rockhopper Sea Kayaking - Day Tours. Here are some ideas for day two: pause for some photo ops at The Glencoe Massacre Monument, admire the verdant scenery at Glen Coe, explore the activities along Loch Linnhe Picnic Area, then take in the dramatic scenery at Steall Waterfall, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ben Nevis.
