Gairloch is a village, civil parish and community on the shores of Loch Gairloch in Wester Ross, in the North-West Highlands of Scotland. On the 24th (Tue), look for all kinds of wild species at Shieldaig Falconry, tour the pleasant surroundings at Red Point Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Mellon Udrigle Beach, then brush up on your military savvy at Russian Arctic Convoy Museum, and finally learn about all things military at Russian Arctic Convoy Project.

Lochinver is a village on the coast in the Assynt district of Sutherland, Highland, Scotland. Kids will enjoy Polin Beach and Sandwood Bay Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Clachtoll Beach Campsite and Oldshoremore Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Lochinver: Dun Dornaigil Broch (in Altnaharra), RhueArt (in Rhue) and Scourie Bay (in Scourie). There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Little Assynt Estate, admire the landmark architecture of Inchnadamph Old Parish Church Museum, Kirkton, Assynt, savor a hot drink at The Jammery Culkein, and explore the historical opulence of Ardvreck Castle.
