On the 5th (Thu), don't miss a visit to Palacio de Raxoi and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral De Santiago de Compostela. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 6th (Fri): identify plant and animal life at Refugio de Verdes, make a trip to Cabo Vilan, and then visit a coastal fixture at Faro Tourinan.

Vigo is a city and municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia, north-west Spain on the Atlantic Ocean. Step off the beaten path and head to Santa Tecla Celtic Village and Playa de Areas. Iglesia de la Virgen Peregrina and Castelo de Soutomaior are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with these side-trips from Vigo: Pedras Negras (in San Vicente do Mar), Casa Historica de Cambados (in Cambados) and Castro de Santa Trega (in A Guarda). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Tui Cathedral, take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica of Santa Maria, steep yourself in history at Castelo do Castro, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa da Xunqueria.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Wed): explore the ancient world of Citania de Briteiros, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sameiro Sanctuary, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Se de Braga, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral), and finally take a stroll around Palacio da Bolsa. On the 12th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at FC Porto Museum, do a tasting at Porto Augusto's, then do a tasting at Cockburn’s Port Wine Lodge, then pause for some serene contemplation at Igreja dos Carmelitas, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Igreja do Carmo.

Traveling by bus from Vigo to Porto takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. The time zone changes from Central European Time (CET) to Western European Time (WET), which is usually a -1 hour difference.
