Crossroads of the West

Utah's capital and most populous city, Salt Lake City boasts a small-town feel, big-city amenities, and plenty of nature on its doorstep.
On the 3rd (Sat), browse the exhibits of Joseph Smith Memorial Building, then examine the collection at Church History Museum, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Assembly Hall. On the 4th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Salt Lake Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of The Tabernacle, then pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral of the Madeleine, and finally examine the collection at Phil's Man Cave.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Windows and Double Arch. Get in touch with nature at Balanced Rock Trail and Landscape Arch. Known globally as the home of the country's largest independent film festival, Park City finds its roots as an old silver boomtown located on the slopes of the Wasatch Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountains.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Fri): settle in for a delightful tour with Rocky Mountain Outfitters, then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, and then stroll through Canyons Village at Park City. On your second day here, view the masterpieces at David Beavis Fine Art and then stroll through Park City Mountain Resort.
