Pescara is the capital city of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Step out of the city life by going to Gran Sasso and Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. Do some cultural sightseeing at Cattedrale Basilica S. Maria Assunta di Atri and Castelluccio. Explore Pescara's surroundings by going to Centro Storico di Scanno (in Scanno), Abbey of Saint Clemente (in Castiglione a Casauria) and San Domenico Lake (in Villalago). And it doesn't end there: tour the pleasant surroundings at Tortoreto Beach, stroll the grounds of Moro River Canadian War Cemetery, pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario del Volto Santo, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo.

If you are flying in from Romania, the closest major aiport is Pescara International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in June, and nighttime lows around 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
