Pécs is the fifth largest city of Hungary, located on the slopes of the Mecsek mountains in the south-west of the country, close to its border with Croatia. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Liliomkert Market and Kaposvar Plaza. Venture out of the city with trips to Hegyestu (in Monoszlo), Hegymagas (Szent Gyorgy Mountain & Szaszi Estate) and Villany (Wunderlich Winery and Wine Cellar, Gere Attila Pinceszete- Winery, & more). Spend the 22nd (Fri) exploring nature at Kapolnapuszta Buffalo Reservation. There's still lots to do: delve into the distant past at Early Christian Mausoleum, browse the different shops at Arkad Shopping Centre, go for a walk through Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, and make a trip to Szechenyi Ter.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airports are Sármellék International Airport and Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. In November in Pecs, expect temperatures between 12°C during the day and 3°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
